Equipment
Skating boots: You have your own boots?
Bring them, and we show you how to put them on correctly.
⛸
Boot rental:  You don't have your own boots and would like to rent some?
You can rent from the rental 'Flashskate' . Please ask for figure skating boots (made from leather) not for the ordinary rentals boots. Costs are the same .
You don't own boots and you would like to get some?
We recommend figure skating boots (of the brands  Wifa, Riedell, Edea, Graf, Jackson,…usw.) or hockey boots (of the brands Bauer, CCM,…usw.) .

We do not recommend:
Boots made from cloth, artificial leather or plastic shell boots such as (Roces, K2, Head,..).

The boots should fit. Your coach or your specialist dealer can give you advice.
Clothing: Dependant on the weather conditions. Generally:

Clothing should be warm and comfortable, should not restrict your leeway/ mobility.

I personally prefer the multi layer principle:
Meaning, I am wearing several layers which I can take off and on.

Outdoor-clothing or ski-clothing

⛸ Gloves are essential as well as a hat or if necessary a helmet

if necessary protection gear, such as knee and ellbow pads, fall trousers, and so on....
Clothing  ‘warm-up’: Sports clothing

 Sports shoes

Tips regarding safety
and health
Boots should fit. They shouldn't be to large or wobbly.

They should be bound tight around the ankle.

They should be sharpened.

In case you worry about your physical suitability to execute the sport, please contact your physician!

WARM UP

⛸  Improving your coordinative skills
⛸  Improving your general mobility
⛸  Strengthening of the muscles

The ‚warum-up‘ is important, because it can reduce the risk of injury significantly.
